1. Introduction

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use our services or make any purchase.

2. Services Provided

3. Service Agreements

Every project begins with a written proposal or service agreement that clearly defines:

  • Scope of work
  • Deliverables and milestones
  • Timelines
  • Payment schedule
  • Responsibilities of both parties

Work will only commence once the proposal is signed (electronically or physically) and the initial payment is received. We reserve the right to amend service-specific terms with 30 days’ written notice via email or within your client portal.

4. Payment Terms

  • All pricing, fees, and payment schedules are detailed in your service agreement.
  • We require a 50% deposit (or as otherwise agreed) before work begins. The balance is due on completion or in staged payments for ongoing retainers.
  • Payments are accepted via bank transfer (BACS), Stripe, or other methods specified in your invoice.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Late payments incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate and may result in suspension of work until cleared.
  • All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • No refunds are provided for completed work or for services terminated early by the client.

5. Client Obligations

To achieve the best possible results, you agree to:

  • Provide timely access to Google Analytics, Google Search Console, CMS logins, hosting accounts, Google Business Profile, and any other platforms required.
  • Supply accurate business information, high-quality images, testimonials, and branding assets.
  • Respond to requests for feedback or approval within 5 working days. Delays may extend project timelines.
  • Ensure all content you provide is legally owned or licensed for commercial use.
  • Refrain from making unauthorised changes to SEO elements (meta tags, content, site structure) during active campaigns.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All original content, graphics, strategies, reports, and code created by SEO For Trades remain our property until full payment is received.
  • Upon final payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use delivered materials solely for your own trade business.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or claim ownership of our work.
  • Any third-party tools, plugins, or stock images remain subject to their original licences.
  • Materials you supply (logos, photos, testimonials) remain your property, and you warrant that you have full rights to use them.

7. Results and No Guarantee Clause

While we use industry-best practices and have a proven track record with hundreds of UK trades, we cannot guarantee:

  • Specific Google rankings or positions
  • Exact volumes of leads, calls, or enquiries
  • Fixed return on ad spend (ROAS)

SEO and PPC results are influenced by factors beyond our control, including:

  • Google algorithm updates
  • Competitor activity and budgets
  • Seasonal demand fluctuations
  • Your website’s technical health and age
  • Accuracy and timeliness of client cooperation

We commit to transparent reporting and continuous optimisation, but all outcomes are estimates, not guarantees.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • SEO For Trades shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.
  • We are not responsible for downtime, errors, or security issues caused by your hosting provider, third-party plugins, or unauthorised access resulting from weak passwords or client-side negligence.

9. Termination

  • Monthly rolling contracts may be terminated by either party with 30 days’ written notice.
  • Fixed-term contracts may only be terminated early for material breach, subject to the terms in your agreement.
  • Upon termination, you remain liable for all fees for work completed up to the termination date.
  • We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate services without refund if you:
    • Fail to make payment within 14 days of due date
    • Breach these Terms
    • Engage in illegal or unethical activity

Any unused retainer hours are non-refundable.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

All personal and business data is handled strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. By engaging our services, you consent to the collection and processing of data necessary to deliver and improve your campaigns.
